Sangmu Phoenix coach Cho Young-shin has been appointed as the new head coach of the men's national handball team.

The Korea Handball Association said on the 28th, "The open recruitment process for the men's national team coach, which had been vacant for about a year, has been carried out since February and Cho Young-shin was selected as the final candidate after document screening and interviewing by the national leadership selection committee."

Cho Young-shin previously led the men's national team to the gold medal at the 2010 Guangzhou Asian Games. He has experience leading multiple teams of South and North Korea at the World Men's Handball Championships in 2019.
